An automotive manufacturing facility in Indiana approached EQM for assistance with their air compliance program. Our team of experts assisted the organization with the following:
Completed an applicability determination of Section 112(j) of the Clean Air Act (MACT Hammer).
Determined if the facility was an affected source required to file a Part 1 MACT application based on the facility’s potential to emit (PTE) HAP emissions and any of the existing emissions units belonging to source categories listed in the “List of Source Categories Affected by Section 112(j) MACT Hammer Date.”
For affected sources, prepared Part 1 application and filed it with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
Completed the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Emission Statement.
Prepared complete air permit application for the construction of a new metal parts (counter weights) paint line, in compliance with IDEM.
Modified the Title V Operating Permit to allow for increased production capacity at the surface coating operations (paint booths).
Performed compliance stack testing to determine particulate emission levels of the exhaust of shot blast unit.
