Community Relations Staff
Deb Leonard, EQ’s Community Relations Manager, has worked in the environmental communications and community relations field since 1992. She joined EQ in September 2007. Ms. Leonard has a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a master’s degree in environmental science, and an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Over the past 16 years, Ms. Leonard has worked with a variety of clients, including wastewater and water utilities, chemical manufacturers, steel mills, gas & electric companies, non-profit organizations, municipalities, local, state, and federal agencies, and government facilities.
She has helped her clients communicate with neighbors, elected officials, environmental activists, regulators, emergency responders, employees and the media about a variety of environmental, health and safety issues, ranging from air emissions, odors, and spills/releases to RCRA/CERCLA cleanups, sewers, and hazardous waste.
