The revised standard was released September 2015 with a 3-year transition period. Full conformity with the new standard must be completed by September 2018. Key changes in ISO 14001:2015 require organizations to demonstrate:
- Greater commitment from leadership
- Greater protection for the environment, with a focus on proactive initiatives
- More effective communication, driven through a communications strategy
- Life-cycle thinking, considering each stage of a product or service, from development to end-of-life
EQM’s ISO auditors can develop a transition plan including gap assessment and training to guide your company through conformance with the revised standard. Please contact Fred Nichols at email@example.com or (317) 695-4712 if you would like to discuss how EQM may assist as your move forward.
