  • Our work includes containment, countermeasures, emergency and removal response, decontamination, response mitigation, transportation and disposal, restoration, soil stabilization, analytical support, demolition construction and support facilities, marine operations, asbestos removal, mold abatement, and drum and underground storage tank (UST) removal and excavation.
  • We also have expertise in water treatment, restoration, waste treatment and disposal, waste segregation and preparation for shipment, decontamination, remediation, recovery, waste disposition and onsite water treatment of various contaminants including mercury, chromium, ammonia, creosote, corrosives, asbestos, PCBs, plating-related materials, and unknowns.
  • We can remediate and close former military test ranges and arsenals, including the removal of metallic anomalies such as live rounds of ammunition.
  • Our expert staff can remove contaminated petroleum, transformers, capacitors, and soil contaminated with benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, lead, and other hazardous wastes.
  • We coordinate our work with local, state, and federal agencies to complete tasks across five USEPA regions encompassing a majority of the United States.

  • wastewaterSince EQ started in 1990, we have prepared over 50 individual NPDES permit applications, 25 indirect wastewater discharge permit applications, and 25 wastewater pretreatment construction permits.
  • EQ staff have prepared and certified more than 250 water related plans, including: Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3), Spill and Slug Control Plans, Toxic Organic Management Plans (TOMP), Facility Response Plans (FRP), and Emergency Response Action Plans (ERAP).
  • EQ staff conduct annual comprehensive site compliance evaluations for storm water compliance; develop storm water drainage maps; and locate/identify illicit connections at industrial sites.
  • We have highly experienced field sampling staff that have conducted storm water monitoring at industrial sites annually since 1991.  Wastewater sampling is conducted in compliance with USEPA Form 2C requirements for all permit renewals, and EQ houses a wide range of field sampling and flow measurement equipment.
  • EQ process engineers can provide turnkey design-build-install of your wastewater and storm water treatment systems.  EQ staff have designed pretreatment systems ranging from $10,000 pH neutralizations systems to $8 million physical/chemical/biological treatment systems for indirect or direct discharge.
  • EQ has evaluated, designed, permitted, constructed, and operated wastewater treatment systems for utilities, chemical manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, automotive manufacturers, mining operations, solid waste landfill leachate, and a variety of consumer product companies.
